For any disputes arising out of the use of Elka Home Care Website, the law applicable is exclusively the law of the State of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.

Pricing Information

  • Pricing is indicative only and may vary depending on individual care needs, service complexity, service location, after-hours requirements, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Allied health, nursing, clinical supports, home maintenance, home modifications, meal delivery, and specialised supports may be quoted individually based on your approved funding and support requirements.
  • Transport services may include kilometre-based travel, provider travel time, parking, tolls, or voucher-based transport services and will be discussed prior to commencement.
  • Elka Home Care does not charge an entry fee, exit fee, or basic daily fee.
  • Care management is budgeted separately in line with Government funding arrangements and your individual care requirements.
  • Elka Home Care may utilise external suppliers or third-party providers where required to meet your support needs, location requirements, preferences, service availability, or specialised clinical needs.
  • Where external suppliers are engaged, the amount charged to your package may include:
    • the direct supplier cost;
    • supplier travel or minimum engagement fees;
    • and a reasonable coordination, scheduling, administration, or service delivery cost associated with arranging and managing the service.
  • Any known additional charges associated with third-party services will be discussed with you prior to services commencing where reasonably practicable.
  • Pricing may vary slightly between suppliers depending on location, service type, availability, and award conditions.
  • All pricing is designed to remain transparent and aligned with current Home Care Package and Support at Home funding arrangements.
 

Income Tested Fees and Contributuions

  • Some clients may be required to contribute an Income Tested Fee (ITF) or Contributions as determined by Services Australia.
  • The these are Government-mandated contribution and is separate from Elka Home Care service charges.
  • Services Australia will conduct an income assessment to determine whether any contribution is payable.
  • This will be included in your budget each quarter.

Service Cancellations

The following cancellation charges may apply for scheduled services:
  • More than 48 hours’ notice – No charge
  • Between 24 and 48 hours’ notice – Minimum charge of 4 hours
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice – Full scheduled service charge applies

Cancellation fees may be waived at Elka Home Care’s discretion in circumstances including hospitalisation, emergencies, or exceptional events.


 

Pricing Reviews

Elka Home Care reserves the right to review and amend pricing where required due to:
  • award wage increases;
  • supplier pricing changes;
  • travel or fuel cost increases;
  • legislative or regulatory changes;
  • or Government funding reforms.

Reasonable notice will be provided where significant pricing changes apply.


 
Transparency of Charges

Elka Home Care is committed to transparent pricing and clear communication regarding service costs.
All known service charges, supplier costs, and applicable fees will be discussed prior to service delivery wherever reasonably possible.
While every effort is made to minimise additional costs, some specialised, regional, urgent, or externally delivered services may incur charges above standard pricing due to supplier or operational requirements.
