Support at Home Program

The Support at Home Program is introducing standardized pricing for services, ensuring that all clients receive consistent and transparent pricing across the board.

Our prices are currently based on the Government’s indicative price guide, and liaising with our Supplier Partners, ensuring that we align with industry standards while providing high-quality
care. These changes are aimed at maintaining transparency and making it easier for clients to understand and manage.

This pricing is indicative based on average cost. Allied health and other clinical services is quoted individually to suit your plan and budget.

Home maintenance, minor repairs, and meal delivery are quoted individually to suit your plan and budget

10% of your budget is set aside for care management. This does not impact your budget.

Transport is quoted individually to suit your plan and budget, depending on if it is Kilometres driving, or voucher based such as cab charge.

With all new suppliers we will endeavour to and there are no additional costs associated with arranging third party providers.

24 hour notice is required to avoid a full service cancellation fee. Services delivered on a public holiday will attract public holiday rates.

Elka Home Care also does not charge an entry fee, exit fee or a basic daily fee.

If we are unable to deliver a service in your area we will recommend someone who can. This may involve an additional cost to the prices listed above. Your Care Manager will discuss this with you prior to services commencing.

If you would like to receive a particular service from someone external to us then you can request to have them service you through Elka Home Care. Your Care Manager will discuss this with you prior to services commencing.

You may be required to contribute an Income Tested Fee (ITF) if you are a part pensioner or self -funded. This is a Government mandated fee that clients on Home Care may contribute towards the package.

Services Australia will conduct an income assessment over the phone to determine how much, if any, you are required to pay. Please call Services Australia on 1800227 475 for further information. If you are not receiving any form of payment from Centrelink, you will need to provide financial details to Services Australia. Please call Services Australia for direction in regards to determining your ITF

Shift Cancellations:

>48 hours’ notice – No Charge
24 – 48 hours’ notice – minimum charge of 4 hours
<24 hours ‘notice – Full length of the shift to be charged

Elka Home Care reserve the right to review the Fee Schedule in the event of any changes to award pay rates, supplier charge updates, or additional charges resulting from statutory or regulatory changes

The prices listed above do not have any hidden costs and there are no additional costs associated with arranging third party providers.
