Updated Support at Home pricing from 1 October 2026
From 1 October, Elka Home Care is updating its Support at Home service pricing to make costs clearer and easier to understand, helping you plan your care and manage your budget with confidence.
Our updated prices are informed by the Government’s indicative price guide and consultation with our supplier partners, supporting transparent pricing and high-quality care.
The prices below include all costs associated with delivering each service. Prices may vary slightly depending on the supplier, and we will confirm the applicable cost with you before services begin.

Hourly rates for Personal Care and Domestic Assistance.
One Personal Care rate covers all personal care scenarios. The rate charged is determined by the day and time the service is delivered, not by the seniority of the worker or the complexity of the task.
Minimum service duration: 2 hours. Services booked or delivered for less than 2 hours are charged at the 2-hour minimum.
All rates are GST-free.
Weekday — Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 8:00pm.
Saturday — 12:00am Saturday to 11:59pm Saturday.
Sunday — 12:00am Sunday to 11:59pm Sunday.
Public holiday — gazetted public holidays in the state or territory where
the service is delivered.
Where a shift spans two day bands, the rate applying at the time the shift
commences applies to the whole shift.
When requested of weekday services delivered outside 6:00am—8:00pm.
Either an evening or overnight rate will apply and be included in the
budget.
Rates for Personal Care and Domestic Assistance are fixed and charged
as published in the rate schedule above.
Allied health, nursing, clinical supports, home maintenance, home
modifications, meal delivery, and specialised supports are indicative only
and are quoted individually based on your approved funding and support
requirements. Quotes for these services may vary depending on individual
care needs, service complexity, service location, and after-hours
requirements.
Transport services may include kilometre-based travel, provider travel
time, parking, tolls, or voucher-based transport services, and will be
discussed prior to commencement. Kilometre-based travel is charged at
$1.10 per kilometre.
Elka Home Care does not charge an entry fee, exit fee, or basic daily
fee.
Care management is budgeted separately in line with Government
funding arrangements and your individual care requirements.
Elka Home Care is committed to transparent pricing and clear
communication regarding service costs.
All known service charges, supplier costs, and applicable fees will be
discussed prior to service delivery wherever reasonably possible.
While every effort is made to minimise additional costs, some specialised,
regional, urgent, or externally delivered services may incur charges above
standard pricing due to supplier or operational requirements. Where this
applies, the additional cost will be quoted to you before the service
proceeds.
Elka Home Care may engage external suppliers or third-party providers
where required to meet your support needs, location requirements,
preferences, service availability, or specialised clinical needs.

package may include:

discussed with you before services commence, wherever reasonably
practicable.
Supplier pricing may vary depending on location, service type, availability,
and award conditions.
All pricing is designed to remain transparent and aligned with current Home Care Package and Support at Home funding arrangements.
Some clients may be required to pay an Income Tested Fee (ITF) or
contribution as determined by Services Australia.
These are Government-mandated contributions and are separate from
Elka Home Care service charges.
Services Australia will conduct an income assessment to determine
whether any contribution is payable. Any contribution payable will be
shown in your quarterly budget statement.

The following cancellation charges may apply to scheduled services:
Cancellation charges are calculated at the rate applying to the day band in which the cancelled service was scheduled.
Cancellation fees may be waived in circumstances including
hospitalisation, emergencies, or exceptional events.
Elka Home Care may review and amend pricing where required due to:
We will give at least 28 days’ written notice of any change to published
rates. Notice will be given for all rate changes, not only significant ones.
